Description
Thanks to the Regional Programme 'Collabora e Innova', Turboden, together with Comer, UniBS and Compri, is developing innovative technologies to support the decarbonization of industrial processes, district heating networks and advanced geothermal applications — areas identified by the European Commission among the Net-Zero Strategic Technologies.
Objectives
• Next-generation ORC solutions — new ORC components designed for faster, more cost-effective deployment, enabling increased renewable energy production and reduced CO₂ emissions.
• High-temperature industrial heat pumps & MVR systems — LHP and MVR technologies capable of delivering ΔT > 80°C for district heating, energy-intensive industrial processes, and CCS systems. These solutions boost energy efficiency and significantly reduce operational costs.
• High torque-density electric motors — design of a high-performance permanent- magnet synchronous motor (up to 30,000 rpm), using reduced rare-earth NdFeB magnets with Grain Boundary Diffusion and optimized hairpin windings.
• Software & AI for process optimization — digitalization of design, simulation and data-management processes through an integrated platform that minimizes delays, inefficiencies and development time. This is the technology area led by Compri.
Compri's role
Compri srl, a Milan-based innovative start-up, contributes to the project by developing the end-to-end software platform that centralizes the consortium's technical and management data, automates processes and improves traceability. Through AI-driven algorithms, Compri supports partners in optimizing operational cycles — from design to simulation to documentation — reducing time, inefficiencies and delays in the development of decarbonization technologies.
